Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of small needles into specific locations in the body referred to as acupuncture points, mapped over a period of 2,000 years. Acupuncture helps move energy in the body to bring it into balance.
Maya offers acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
East Asian Medicine (acupuncture/moxa/herbs/tui-na) can be used to treat for a whole range of medical conditions including:
- Pain (Acute, Chronic, etc.)
- Arthritis
- Injury recovery
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Indigestion
- Diarrhea/Constipation
- Headaches/Migraines
- Reproductive health (Libido, Hormonal, PMS, etc)
- Psychological/Emotional balance
Maya accepts several insurance plans for direct billing and can provide a superbill for others, so that you can get direct reimbursement. Please call to request more information about insurance billing.
For patients who pay at time of service, the following are expected fees for East Asian medicine/acupuncture treatment:
- First Time Visit (90 minutes) – $125
- Follow Up Visits (60 minutes) – $85
Maya provides a sliding scale fee option for those who cannot otherwise afford treatment.

- A ‘no show’ will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service.
- When cancelling an appointment after 400pm of the day prior to a scheduled service; you will be charged a late cancellation fee at 50% of the cost of the service missed.
